Foaming Bath Butter
Paraben-free, and propylene glycol free, this Foaming Bath Butter has a mild pH of 5.5 making it perfect for use on the face. You will love the versatility of this cream soap!
Directions for use: It is recommended you whip no less than 454 grams (1lb) at a time, however Susan from Point of Interest uses 100 grams at a time. You can use either a stand mixer, or a hand held cake mixer (the kind with 2 beaters). You cannot use your immersion blender! Slowly begin to mix your Foaming Bath Butter and it will start to soften. You can then add up to 2 oz of oil per pound of FBB, sugar or salt (for a scrub) and fragrance at up to 5%. Whip your FBB until it has doubled in size. Note that whipping to more than double may cause it to collapse.
If you are adding sugar to make a sugar scrub, we have found you need add at least 100% sugar per 100% of FBB because some of the sugar will dissolve. So, if you have 500 grams of FBB, you should add at least 500 grams of sugar. (We use twice as much sugar as FBB when we make our scrubs.) The sugar does not leave your skin sticky, nor does it sting if you have a little cut somewhere. To make your scrub more moisturizing, you can add up 10% liquid oil.INCI:
