SOLAGUM™ AX is a co-granulated blend of 2 natural polymers: acacia and xanthan gum. SOLAGUM™ AX acts as a thickener and emulsifier to reach viscosities up to 10,000 MPa.s. It is an excellent replacement for Xanthan Gum as it does not have the same slimy feel.
SOLAGUM™ AX is an easy to use product in a powdered form. It is compatibility over a wide range of pH (3-12) and requires no neutralizing. It can be used at room temperature and does not require high shear to be activated. SOLAGUM™ AX can be used in combination with other thickeners and can stabilize solutions containing Glyerine up to 50%. Gels are stable and perfectly homogenous in appearance.
SOLAGUM™ AX is NOT compatible with cationic surfactants, and electrolytes will decrease its thickening effect. -
Product Specifications:
SOLAGUM™ AX is obtained using an innovative and sustainable manufacturing process for which the acacia gum coats the xanthan gum. The ratio of this combination has been optimized for an excellent balance between performance and texture. SOLAGUM™ AX is a natural thickening-stabilizing-texturizing polymer in the form of a non-dusty powder. It dissolves quickly in water to produce non-stringy and non-sticky aqueous gels. It is versatile and can be used in both skin care and hygiene products. Form: pale yellow/off white powder
Usage level: up to 1% to thicken or suspend ingredients. Can be used in hot or cold phase while stirring.
