Lab Notes from Mad Micas:
Oh, I'm happy with this! Red poppies have always been one of my favorite flowers in the world and I almost jumped up and down when I opened this version. It was exactly what I wanted! It's vibrant and lively with warm undertones. It is incredibly bright and doesn’t require a lot to get a saturated color.
Looks less red in powder form than it does in products.
I quickly made a batch of cold process soap, epoxy resin and clear MP soap, hoping they would all come out as perfect as the pigment blend. They all came out great - and different from True Red! I knew POPPY RED was the name for this one!
I did a little more research on red poppies: they symbolize several things, but the ones I think fit are inspiration, devotion, and hope for a peaceful future. In the Japanese language of flowers, Hanakotoba, the red poppy means “fun-loving”. For me, the “pop” in poppy is the key to this color. More than bright, it is absolute fun! -
