Hyaluronic Acid - Low Molecular Weight
Hyaluronic Acid is a lubricating fluid that occurs naturally in the body, with the largest amounts found in the skin, eyes, joints, fluid and connective tissue.
Hyaluronic Acid is critical to skin health as it can hold 1000 ml of water per gram which makes it the most effective moisturizer available. As our skin ages, it loses the ability to preserve moisture which leads to the loss of firmness. Hyaluronic Acid replenishes that moisture, leading to younger-looking, supple skin.
Our lower molecular weight, water soluble Hyaluronic Acid (.8 - 1.0 million Daltons) has a larger molecule size which prevents it from permeating deep into the skin. Instead, it stays near the surface where it moisturizes the skin surface layers.
